Lots going on around here this week:
1: My reel is finished. Ms. Sandy Gonzalez, director, writer, editor, and much more, was kind enough to pull together a bunch of my old clips and give me my first legitimate acting reel. It's nice to have an online calling card of past work. She did a great job. Reviewing the reel, though, I'm now realizing just how many films I worked on after which I was never given any footage to see how it all turned out...
2: New photos all over the place. Uploaded shots from my most recent shoot (in which I learned that an overcast autumn sky takes away my favorite trick of softening the light and backlighting the subject, but gives me far, far more fun options to play with in black and white while editing the photos) plus some additional shots from photo shoots over the summer. Added a few more photos from a recent session as a model for one of my favorite photographers, too. Bob always makes me look better looking than I really am.
3: Spent most of the month helping out writer, director, and (I'm proud to say) friend Nick Carlisle on his latest short film, "Moneytubes." It's fucking hysterical. Nick's writing is hysterical in general, but this story is priceless. Wrapped photography at the primary location Sunday, during which I (playing a minor role in addition to being crew) was involved with what I thought was the best outtake I have ev. The film's Facebook page can be found here.
